Now, it's not to say he didn't enjoy the duties he'd been doing thus far. It just finally donned on him that...saving the world is far different from reality to reality. Sometimes, you just have to do away with the bad guy. Sometimes. Sometimes evil just ain't so black and white. Poverty. Homelessness. All evils that needed to be combated and fought with unwavering resolve.
And so, as he strode down the corridor to the meeting room he was informed about, his eyes flicked from side to side, simply taking in the location, a very new experience. Coming around a corner, he noticed the tail end of what appeared to be a scuffle, and with brisk strides, he managed to arrive at the doors before they closed. His violet eyes then caught sight of Onigiri splayed out on a table with saliva trailing out of his lips, and what appeared to be a female officer promptly beginning to haul him off of the table top.
"I'm not sure I'll ever get use to the sight of this man..." Vegeshin began to mention, before noticing both Patchi and Ezrael. He knew Patchi well enough, but Ezrael seemed like a vaguely familiar face as well. Hadn't he spotted him in Gambit's before too? His memory was rather troubled. But, who's wouldn't be? After seeing a million and one faces in a certain establishment in roughly a month's time, who wouldn't have trouble placing a voice to a face, and a face to a figure? "Patchi..." Vegeshin offered, giving a salute-style wave of his first two fingers. The same was offered to Ezrael before Vegeshin turned on the spot to glance at Derrick. This man was thoroughly new to Vegeshin. He'd never met, nor even seen, the man before, even in all his time on Terra. Offering the same wave to Derrick. Taking his seat, he spared a passing glance to Onigiri before grinning and shaking his head. Within his seat, he looked around the table rather promptly, eyes catching the vial of liquid, the electronic device, and even the papers, placed on the table.
Indeed, this was going to be a rather interesting experience. Militia man. Who'd have thought, Vegeshin, of all people, would be a militia man. Not that he hated it. Reflecting on his past he chuckled to himself.
'Twenty years ago, I couldn't even picture myself in this position...'
